Request for Qualification & sealed Cost Bid will be submitted to Rabun County Schools on

the Proposal/Bids date indicated above. Rabun County Schools will review Proposal & open

Bids. Bids will not be publicity  read aloud. Rabun County Schools will notify all General Contractors in writing of the results.

Bid documents may be obtained at or shipped COD (UPS will not accept cash for delivery; Official Bank Check, Money Order or Cashiers Check will be accepted by UPS for delivery of plans) from the architect’s office upon receipt of $200.00 deposit for each set of documents.  Deposit will be refunded in full to all parties returning documents, including ALL addenda, in good condition within thirty (30) days after bid opening.  Documents with broken binders or documents that have been taken apart are NOT considered to be “in good condition”.  No partial sets will be issued.

 

Bid bond in the amount of 5% percent of the base bid is required and must be submitted with the bid.  A bid bond is the only acceptable form of bid security.  No personal checks, cashiers checks, certified checks or cash will be accepted in lieu of the bid bond.  Performance and payment bonds amounting to 100 percent of the contract sum will be required.  All bonds shall be written by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia, listed on the Federal Register and acceptable to the owner.  Notice of Intent as described in Section 02270 of the specifications must be signed and attached to the Contractor’s sealed bid. Owner reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids.
